Barbora Němcová joins ambitious VIF Cycling Team

Former Czech road race champion Barbora Němcová is going to race for the VIF Cycling Team in 2027. She has signed a contract for one season with the ambitious UCI continental women’s team of her home country. Being part of the team, the 21-year-old cyclist can focus completely on road racing in the upcoming year, the discipline where her ambitions lay. The VIF Cycling Team made its debut on UCI-level this year and is aiming to increase their program of international races.

So far, the 2026 season has been one in which Němcová has set a new step forward in her development. Where she already scored in bunch sprints, like for example a 4th place in a stage of the Women’s World Tour stage race Tour of Chongming Island, she this year also did well in several other types of races. Strong was for example her 5th place in the general classification of the Gracia Orlova, where she also ended 6th and 7th in stages with an uphill finish, as well as her 10th place in the Lotto Thüringen Women Cycling Challenge.

“Joining the VIF Cycling Team feels like another exciting chapter in my cycling career”, Barbora says. “After four seasons with Team Dukla Praha, for which I am very grateful, I believe this is the right new team for me. They are ambitious and so am I. The complete focus on road cycling will help me to develop even further, as I want to keep making steps. I already look forward to what is to come.”
