Karolina Kumiega joins St Michel – Preference Home – Auber93 on two-years deal

Polish cyclist Karolina Kumiega will race for St Michel – Preference Home – Auber93 as of the 2026 cycling season. She has signed a contract for two years with the French Pro Team. With that, she returns at the professional level. In the beginning of this year, Kumiega approached AK Sportpromotions after not being able to find a team for this season, coming from World Tour level. A plan was made and thanks to the Belgium club team KDM – Pack Cycling and Polish team, a program was set up. We are happy that that now resulted in a new pro contract for Karolina.

Being able to race a nice program with UCI-races, Karolina made the most out of it. She so far this year already ended thirteen times in the top-10 of a UCI-race. Amongst those results were a victory in the Ladies Tour of Estonia, a third place in a stage of the Baloise Ladies Tour and a third place in the general classification of the Czech stage race Gracia Orlova. With her fast sprint, the ability to do well in hilly races and her way of being able to position herself good in the peloton, made that Karolina really put herself in the picture again.

“I’m so happy to be joining the team”, now said about her step to St Michel – Preference Home – Auber93. “Last year wasn’t the easiest for me. I struggled with illness and bad luck, and ultimately ended the year without a professional contract. But I didn’t give up, and with the help of many people around me, I just kept going. This year, luck was more on my side and I had many good days on the bike and proved my worth in races.”

Positive energy and believe
That now resulted in a contract for the upcoming years, in the ambitious team. “From the first conversation with St Michel – Preference Home – Auber93, I felt a very positive energy. I was impressed by the professionalism and the great organization within the team. I like their vision for the future and how they see my role within the group. I truly feel like I’ve found a place where people believe in me! And it’s essential for me to be in an environment where I can really enjoy cycling. I hope I can bring a lot to the team. I’m very excited to start this new adventure next season!”
