Marjolein van ‘t Geloof signs with Laboral-Kutxa

Dutch cyclist Marjolein van ‘t Geloof has signed a contract for the upcoming two years with the Spanish Pro Women’s Team Laboral Kutxa – Fundación Euskadi. The 29-years-old rider will add strength as a sprinter, classics rider and team captain to her new team. This year Van ‘t Geloof impressed with several strong results. She for example sprinted to a 4th place in the famous Women’s World Tour race Gent-Wevelgem. The same result she got in both Nokere Koerse and La Picto.

Van ‘t Geloof comes over from the Arkea – B&B Hotels team, for which she raced this season. Originally the plan was to do that as well in 2026, but as the team ceases to exist, she moves on. “I signed for two years with Arkea – B&B Hotels with the idea to also race for them longer and my year with them really has been great”, the Dutch cyclist says. “Unfortunately, the team won’t be in the peloton anymore and I really think that is a loss for cycling. I am grateful to everyone from the team, that has made it such a nice year. That said, I am also very happy that Laboral Kutxa has now given me the chance to join their team.”

In her career, Van ‘t Geloof has raced for teams from several countries. Racing for a Spanish team will be a new adventure. “It is something I really look forward to. After good conversations with the management of the team, hearing about their plans for the upcoming years, I am super excited. From the peloton I have seen Laboral Kutxa grow and I am happy to be part of that now as well, where I am ambitious to go after my own results, as well as results for my new team mates. I can’t wait to soon meet everyone in person.”
