Maud Oudeman two years longer with Visma – Lease a Bike
Dutch cyclist Maud Oudeman will also race for Visma – Lease a bike in the upcoming two seasons. The 20-years-old rider is now in her second year with the Women’s World Tour team and has signed a new contract until the end of 2026. With that she gets a well deserved reward for both her hard work ánd her fast development. Still only in her third year on the U23- and elite-level, Oudeman has played in important role for her teammates in big races like the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espana, as well as she was able to secure several good results herself.
“It is very special to have the trust of the team. I feel very much at home, and the atmosphere between the riders and the staff is very good. I am proud and grateful to be able to ride here in the coming years”, Oudeman tells on the website of Visma – Lease a Bike. “It feels good to contribute more and more to the team’s performance. The stage races suit me, and I want to develop in this area. It is excellent that I have already raced two grand tours in my second season. It promises a lot for the future.”
Last year Oudeman already showed progress, but this season that is also more visible with results. Besides contributing to for example two stage wins of Marianne Vos and the second place in the general classification of the Vuelta of Riejanne Markus, she was able to secure top-1o classifications herself in several big races. She started the year with a 12th place in the GC of the Tour Down Under, got 10th in the GC of the Vuelta a Burgos and 9th in the GC of the Vuela a Catalunya.
