Movistar Team signs Tota Magalhaes
Ana Vitória ‘Tota’ Magalhães will race for Movistar Team in the upcoming seasons. The 23-years-old rider from Brazil has signed a contract until the end of 2026 with the Spanish Women’s World Tour team. She comes over from BePink – Bongioanni, where she this year made another step forward in her development. “This is a dream come true racing for a World Tour team. Doing that with Movistar is even more special, because I have a special affection for the team.”
After making her first steps in cycling in South America, Magalhães is now in her secund full season racing in Europe. This year she took her first podium spot in a European UCI-race and made her debut at the Olympics. “We have built my career with consistency and hard work, which is paying off”, she says. “I am very happy about making the step up now. I am really excited for the next two seasons, to learn a lot and develop even more myself. And to help the team to achieve great victories in the future.”
To come to this point was also possible thanks to her current team. Magalhães: “I am also very grateful for the opportunity that BePink gave me this year. Team manager Walter Zini, the staff and the girls in the team, they were all amazing. There are still some races left this season. I am going to enjoy those, give everything and help the team as much as I can.”
