Nadia Gontova joins Liv AlUla Jayco

Canadian cyclist Nadia Gontova has signed a 2-years-contract with Liv AlUla Jayco and will be racing for the team in 2026 and 2027. The 25-years-old rider is still relatively new in the peloton and impressed in the past years with several good results. As part of the Winspace Orange Seal team, she this season for example got second in the general classification of the Tour des Pyrenees and a tenth places in the final stage of the Tour de France Femmes. Moving to a World Tour team is a new step in her career.

“After coming to Europe for some races for the first time last season, this year has been my first full season in Europe. It has been a great experience and I am very grateful towards Winspace Orange Seal for the chances they have given me”, Gontova says. “I am very happy I got the chance to prove myself and I have been able to develop further throughout the whole season so far. And that in a nice group of riders and staff, that have supported me to grow.”

Gontova has shown to be a talented climber, who can also ride a strong time trial. “With Liv AlUla Jayco I hope to discover even better which races suit me best and what my potential is. In the talks we had, I got a really good idea about the team and I am very happy to now get the chance to race with them, learn, develop and hopefully aim for success in the future. I look forward getting started with them, but also hope to end the season well with my current team.
