Yurani Blanco steps up to World Tour with Human Powered Health

After three seasons with the continental team Laboral Kutxa – Fundación Euskadi, Yurani Blanco next year sets a step up to a World Tour team. The 26-years-old Spanish rider has signed a contract for 2025 and 2026 with the American team Human Powered Health, adding strength to the squad for the hilly courses and climbing races. Blanco this year won the GP Eibar and finished second at the Spanish road race championships.

In her first years on elite women level, Blanco combined her cycling career with studies. After succesfuly finishing those, she could fully focus on cycling since 2023 and with success. Last year she already came close to the victory in several UCI-races. This season the cyclist from Mallorca made another step forward, resulting in amongst others the win the GP Eibar, but also for example the third place in the general classification of Tour des Pyrénées. One and a half week ago, Blanco finished seventh in the World Tour one day race Classic Lorient Agglomération.

“I am very happy and excited to start next year with Human Powered Health”, Blanco says herself. “It is a team with great talent and experienced riders. I like it so much. This year I have grown more as a cyclist and personally I have learned to manage difficult moments and still do my best. I have shown my character and my way to fight in the races, and I want to continue with that. For the next few years, I want to learn from my teammates and the team, try to achieve important goals and continue to enjoy this sport!”
