Lizzie Stannard is the next cyclist to choose AK Sportpromotions to represent her, taking care of her management. The 25-years-old rider from Australia, is racing for the Italian team Valcar – Travel & Service. Stannard, who came to Europe in the last part of the 2021 season, has shown herself as a real all-rounder. This year she for example helped her teammate Olivia Baril in the climbing races in Spain and Switzerland, also getting several top results herself.
This season Stannard finished 15th in both the GP Eibar and Emakumeen Nafarroaka, after doing work for the team. Those are only a few of the races where she showed herself. In the Italian national race Euganissima Flanders, with a lot of UCI-riders at the start, she for example took the win solo. All together, Stannard has shown herself a real teamplayer, who has a high potential herself as well.
“I was happy that Lizzie got in touch with me and after our first talks I am convinced that this is going to be a good collaboration”, AK Sportpromotions owner Aschwin Kruders says. “In the talks we have had, I have seen how ambitious she is and the sacrifices Lizzie already has done to get where she is now. I look forward to help her work towards her goals for the upcoming years.”

AK Sportpromotions verzorgt ook management Lizzie Stannard
Lizzie Stannard is de volgende wielrenster die AK Sportpromotions kiest om haar te vertegenwoordigen en haar management te verzorgen. De 25-jarige renster uit Australië racet voor het Italiaanse team Valcar – Travel & Service. Stannard, die in het laatste deel van het seizoen 2021 naar Europa kwam, heeft zich laten zien als een echte alleskunner. Zo hielp ze dit jaar haar teamgenoot Olivia Baril bij de klimwedstrijden in Spanje en Zwitserland en behaalde ze zelf ook meerdere topresultaten.
Dit seizoen eindigde Stannard als 15e in zowel de GP Eibar als Emakumeen Nafarroaka, nadat ze voor het team had gewerkt. Dat zijn nog maar een paar van de koersen waar ze zich liet zien. In de Italiaanse nationale wedstrijd Euganissima Flanders, met veel UCI-rensters aan de start, pakte ze bijvoorbeeld solo de overwinning. Alles bij elkaar heeft Stannard zich een echte teamspeler getoond, die zelf ook nog eens veel potentie heeft.
“Ik was blij dat Lizzie contact met mij opnam en na onze eerste gesprekken ben ik ervan overtuigd dat dit een goede samenwerking gaat worden”, zegt AK Sportpromotions-eigenaar Aschwin Kruders. “In de gesprekken die we hebben gehad, heb ik gezien hoe ambitieus ze is en de offers die Lizzie al heeft gebracht om te komen waar ze nu is. Ik kijk er naar uit om haar te helpen werken aan haar doelen voor de komende jaren.”
