The experienced road captain and domestique rider Lara Vieceli has chosen to join AK Sportpromotions. The Dutch based company is going to take care of the management of the Italian cyclist, who just turned 29-years-old. Vieceli is already racing for UCI-teams since 2012 and this July she participated in the Giro d’Italia for the 10th time in her career. With her experience the rider of Ceratizit – WNT has contributed to a lot of successes of her teammates.
AK Sportpromotions owner Aschwin Kruders: “Lara and I got in touch through a mutual friend from the cycling community and I was immediately inspired by her story. A rider like her that is willing to help others so much and sacrifices her own chances for the glory of others, is hard to find. That is also what teammates and former teammates say about her. In cycling we tend to have eye only for the winners, but a rider like Lara is very important for a team. I believe that in this role she is one of the best riders in the international peloton, who can also still develop further herself.”

Italiaanse Lara Vieceli nieuw bij AK Sportpromotions
De ervaren wegkapitein en ondersteunende wielrenster Lara Vieceli heeft ervoor gekozen om zich aan te sluiten bij AK Sportpromotions. Het in Nederland gevestigde bedrijf gaat het management van de net 29-jarige Italiaanse renster voor zijn rekening nemen. Vieceli rijdt al sinds 2012 voor UCI-teams en in juli nam ze voor de 10e keer in haar carrière deel aan de Giro d’Italia. Met haar ervaring heeft de wielrenster van Ceratizit – WNT bijgedragen aan veel successen van haar teamgenoten.
AK Sportpromotions eigenaar Aschwin Kruders: “Lara en ik kwamen in contact via een gemeenschappelijke vriendin uit de wielerwereld en ik was meteen geïnspireerd door haar verhaal. Een renster zoals zij die anderen zo graag wil helpen en haar eigen kansen opoffert voor het succes van anderen, is moeilijk te vinden. Dat zeggen teamgenoten en oud-ploeggenoten ook over haar. In het wielrennen hebben we de neiging om alleen oog te hebben voor de winnaars, maar een renner als Lara is heel belangrijk voor een team. Ik geloof ze één van de beste rensters in het internationale peloton is in deze rol, die zichzelf ook nog verder kan ontwikkelen.”
