Italian cyclist Laura Tomasi has joined AK Sportpromotions, letting us represent her. The 24-years-old rider is racing for the World Tour team UAE Team ADQ, for which she also was active in the past two seasons. Tomasi is a strong sprinter, who can overcome a hill as well. While she is mostly used as a lead-out rider and domestique in her current team, she in 2022 showed her strength with a second and fourth place in stages in the Simac Ladies Tour, and a third place in a stage of the Tour of Scandinavia, both races on the Women’s World Tour level.
AK Sportpromotions owner Aschwin Kruders: “This season Laura has worked for other riders in her team, which she has done very well. However, she has also already shown her own potential in the past. Doing so well in World Tour races like the Simac Ladies Tour and Tour of Scandinavia, sprinting with ánd beating some of the best sprinters in the world, shows the potential she has. Laura is an absolute team player, who is happy to work for her team, but can also go for the win herself. I am convinced she has still a lot of potential to unlock.”

AK Sportpromotions vertegenwoordigt Laura Tomasi
De Italiaanse wielrenster Laura Tomasi heeft zich aangesloten bij AK Sportpromotions en laat zich door ons vertegenwoordigen. De 24-jarige renster komt uit voor het World Tour-team UAE Team ADQ, waarvoor ze de afgelopen twee seizoenen ook actief was. Tomasi is een sterke sprinter, die ook de heuvels goed weet te verteren. Hoewel ze in haar huidige ploeg vooral wordt ingezet als lead-out renster en knecht, toonde ze in 2022 haar kracht met een tweede en vierde plaats in etappes in de Simac Ladies Tour en een derde plaats in een etappe in de Ronde van Scandinavië, beiden races op het Women’s World Tour-niveau.
