Team Jumbo-Visma has signed Margaux Vigié for the seasons 2024 and 2025. With that, the 27-years-old French cyclists steps up from the continental level to a World Tour Team. She comes over from Lifeplus-Wahoo, for which she rode a strong season, mostly showing herself in several spring classics. She for example got seventh in Le Samyn des Dames, twelfth in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and fourteenth in Parix-Roubaix. And that, while it has been only her third season in the peloton.
“I can’t be more proud and happier to ride with Team Jumbo-Visma for the next two years”, Vigié says. “After learning at continental level for three years, I feel confident that I can grow to my best level in this team, among some of the best riders in the world and with a great staff. It’s definitively a big step in my career and I have so much to learn still, but I feel ready for it. I am so grateful for the opportunity given, I will discover another culture that is the reference in women’s cycling; I can’t wait for the first training camp!”

Margaux Vigié sluit aan bij Jumbo-Visma
Team Jumbo-Visma heeft Margaux Vigié vastgelegd voor de seizoenen 2024 en 2025. Daarmee zet de 27-jarige Franse wielrenster een stap omhoog van continentaal niveau naar een World Tour Team. Ze komt over van Lifeplus-Wahoo, waarvoor ze een sterk seizoen reed en zich vooral liet zien in meerdere voorjaarsklassiekers. Zo werd ze zevende in Le Samyn des Dames, twaalfde in de Omloop Het Nieuwsblad en veertiende in Parix-Roubaix. En dat terwijl het pas haar derde seizoen in het peloton is.
“Trotser en gelukkiger kan ik niet zijn om de komende twee jaar voor Team Jumbo-Visma te rijden”, zegt Vigié. “Na drie jaar leren op continentaal niveau, heb ik er vertrouwen in dat ik in dit team naar mijn beste niveau kan groeien, tussen enkele van de beste rensters ter wereld en met een geweldige staf. Het is absoluut een grote stap in mijn carrière en ik heb nog zoveel te leren, maar ik voel me er klaar voor. Ik ben zo dankbaar voor de geboden kans, ik zal een andere cultuur ontdekken die de referentie is in het vrouwenwielrennen; ik kan niet wachten op het eerste trainingskamp!”
