Kristýna Burlová is going to make a new step in her career. After two seasons with Lotto Dstny, where she developed herself very well, the 21-years-old cyclist from the Czech Republic joins Lifeplus Wahoo. She has signed a contract for two seasons with the British team that in the past years has shown it belongs to the best UCI women’s continental teams in the world. Burlová in 2023 impressed with several good result. The strong young rider who has a fast sprint, among others got sixth in the Scheldeprijs and was second in both the road race and the individual time trial of the national championships of her country.
“The past two seasons with Lotto Dstny have been great. I learned a lot and my level has improved”, Burlová says. “I am very grateful to Lotto Dstny for all they have done for me and look back on a great time. With Lifeplus Wahoo I am starting a new adventure that I also very much look forward to. In the talks we had with team manager Tom Varney, I realized that they really have an idea about how to let me make further steps in my career. I can’t wait to get started with that, to get to know my new teammates and to show myself and the team in the upcoming seasons.”

Lifeplus Wahoo volgende stap voor Kristýna Burlová
Kristýna Burlová gaat een nieuwe stap maken in haar carrière. Na twee seizoenen bij Lotto Dstny, waar ze zich uitstekend ontwikkelde, sluit de 21-jarige wielrenster uit Tsjechië aan bij Lifeplus Wahoo. Ze heeft een contract voor twee seizoenen getekend bij het Britse team dat de afgelopen jaren heeft laten zien tot de beste continentale UCI-vrouwenteams ter wereld te behoren. Burlová maakte in 2023 indruk met verschillende goede resultaten. De sterke jonge renster die over een snelle sprint beschikt, werd onder meer zesde in de Scheldeprijs en tweede in zowel de wegwedstrijd als de individuele tijdrit van de nationale kampioenschappen van haar land.
“De afgelopen twee seizoenen bij Lotto Dstny zijn geweldig geweest. Ik heb veel geleerd en mijn niveau is verbeterd”, zegt Burlová. “Ik ben Lotto Dstny erg dankbaar voor alles wat ze voor mij hebben gedaan en kijk terug op een geweldige tijd. Met Lifeplus Wahoo begin ik aan een nieuw avontuur waar ik ook erg naar uitkijk. In de gesprekken die we hadden met teammanager Tom Varney, realiseerde ik me dat ze echt een idee hebben over hoe ze mij verdere stappen kunnen laten maken in mijn carrière. Ik kan niet wachten om daarmee aan de slag te gaan, mijn nieuwe teamgenoten te leren kennen en mezelf en het team de komende seizoenen te laten zien.”
