French cyclist Margaux Vigié will race for the British UCI women’s continental team Lifeplus – Wahoo in 2023. The 27-years-old rider comes over from Valcar, for which she raced two seasons. Vigié impressed, showing herself in front at international races, being a great asset to her team, while only being in the peloton for two years. Besides contributing to several win’s for her Italian team, Vigié also got good results herself. At the French championships she last season got 4th, racing there without any teammates. She signed a contract for one year with Lifeplus – Wahoo.
“Margaux was one of the riders affected by the situation with the B&B team, which looked very promising but in the end didn’t start”, AK Sportpromotions owner Aschwin Kruders said. “The past two seasons she has shown that she is an asset to every team ánd that, after starting her career late, she is a very promising rider. Margaux has a big future in front of her in cycling. Therefor I am happy for both her and Lifeplus – Wahoo that she now found a team in which she can show herself and can be part of new successes of the team.”

Margaux Vigié tekent bij Lifeplus – Wahoo
De Franse wielrenster Margaux Vigié komt in 2023 uit voor het Britse UCI continentale vrouwenteam Lifeplus – Wahoo. De 27-jarige renster komt over van Valcar, waarvoor ze twee seizoenen koerste. Vigié maakte indruk, door zich vooraan te laten zien tijdens internationale wedstrijden en was een grote aanwinst voor haar team, terwijl ze pas twee jaar in het peloton rijdt. Naast het bijdragen aan verschillende overwinningen voor haar Italiaanse team, behaalde Vigié zelf ook goede resultaten. Op de Franse kampioenschappen werd ze vorig seizoen 4e, terwijl ze er zonder ploeggenotes reed. Ze heeft een contract voor een jaar getekend bij Lifeplus – Wahoo.
“Margaux was één van de rensters die werd getroffen door de situatie met het B&B-team, dat er veelbelovend uitzag maar uiteindelijk niet van start ging”, aldus AK Sportpromotions eigenaar Aschwin Kruders. “De afgelopen twee seizoenen heeft ze laten zien dat ze een aanwinst is voor elke ploeg én dat ze, na laat aan haar carrière begonnen te zijn, een veelbelovende renster is. Margaux heeft een grote toekomst in het wielrennen. Ik ben dan ook blij voor zowel haar als Lifeplus – Wahoo dat ze nu een team heeft gevonden waarin ze zichzelf kan laten zien en deel kan uitmaken van nieuwe successen van het team.”
