Former Australian road race champion Nicole Frain has joined AK Sportpromotions, letting the agency represent her in her career. The 31-years-old Tasmanian cyclist is racing for the ambitious Hess Cycling Team in 2024 and has kicked off her season very well in January, with a top-10 result in the general classification of the Women’s World Tour race Tour Down Under. This Thursday the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana will be Frain’s first race in Europe of this year.
“Nicole started racing on relatively late age and it is noticeable that she is still making steps. With her new team, she will this season race in a different role than before and I believe she can positively surprise”, AK Sportpromotions owner Aschwin Kruders says. “Talking to Nicole before going into this collaboration, I got a good idea about her ambitions and how she is as a person. I look forward working with her and hope that I can help her to make new steps in her career, to play a bigger part in the top races on the cycling calendar.”
