Former European junior cycling champion Nadia Quagliotto from Italy and the talented Spanish cyclist Mireia Trias have recently joined AK Sportpromotions. Both riders have then signed a contract with the ambitious Spanish team Laboral Kutxa Fundación Euskadi. Quagliotto comes over from BePink, for which she raced two seasons, and has signed a two-years contract. Trias raced for Massi-Tactic, from her area Catalunya, for the past three years and has a one-year contract. At AK Sportpromotions we are happy to start taking care of the management of both riders and congratulate them with their new team.
Quagliotto (photo top) is a rider who can handle the hilly races and is quick in the sprint. The 25-years-old Italian for example once finished second in a stage in the Giro d’Italia and had several good results during the past season. Trias (photo middle) has shown herself to be one of the bigger talents of her country. This season she won the youth classification of the Volta a Portugal, while helping her teammates Nathalie Eklund and Mirea Benito becoming first and second in the general classification. At the European championships U23 she was involved in the attack for a long time.

Quagliotto en Trias nieuw bij AK Sportpromotions en maken transfer naar Laboral
Voormalig Europees juniorenkampioene wielrennen Nadia Quagliotto uit Italië en de talentvolle Spaanse wielrenster Mireia Trias zijn sinds kort aangesloten bij AK Sportpromotions. Beide rensters hebben vervolgens een contract getekend bij de ambitieuze Spaanse ploeg Laboral Kutxa Fundación Euskadi. Quagliotto komt over van BePink, waarvoor ze twee seizoenen uitkwam, en heeft een contract voor twee jaar getekend. Trias reed de afgelopen drie jaar voor Massi-Tactic, uit haar streek Catalonië, en heeft een contract voor een jaar. Bij AK Sportpromotions zijn we blij om hun management te mogen verzorgen en we feliciteren beiden met hun nieuwe team.

Dit seizoen won ze het jongerenklassement van de Volta a Portugal, terwijl ze haar teamgenotes Nathalie Eklund en Mirea Benito hielp om eerste en tweede te worden in het algemeen klassement. Bij de Europese kampioenschappen U23 was ze lange tijd in de aanval te zien.
