Two times Latvian road race champion Anastasia Carbonari has chosen AK Sportpromotions to represent her. The 24-years-old cyclist, who is born and raised in Italy, rode a strong season in 2023 as part of the UAE Development Team. On Friday it got announced that Carbonari next year steps up to the World Tour team of UAE Team ADQ. With them she is aiming to set another step up in her career in the upcoming season. The talented rider has also qualified for the upcoming Olympics in Paris.
In the past seasons Carbonari has shown to be a talented rider, who is strong on hilly courses and can sprint to a good result from a leading group or a small peloton. She however also did a lot of work for her teammates in both her current team and before that in Valcar Travel & Service. Despite that, she got several good results herself as well. Next to becoming champion of her country for the second year in a row, she for example finished second in the Umag Trophy and next to that got ten more top-10 results in UCI-races.
