Dutch cyclist Daniek Hengeveld, who is managed by AK Sportpromotions, joins Team DSM as of 2023. The 19-years-old rider has signed a two-years contract with the Dutch based Womens World Tour team. She comes over from GP Krush Tunap Pro Cycling, for which she is now racing in her second year in the elite women’s peloton. In her first two seasons, Daniek impressed with several long attacks and even a win in the prologue of the Belgrade GP Womens Tour, next to strong performances on the track. AK Sportpromotions congratulates her with her new contract!
In the press release of Team DSM, Daniek says: “I am really excited to join Team DSM. I have had several talks with people on the team about their plan for me, goals for the upcoming years and my ambitions. From the start I have felt their trust in me and that is a very nice feeling. The team has clear goals with their riders when it comes to development as both individuals and as a team. That really appeals to me. I can’t wait to get started. So far, I think I have shown that I can ride a good time trial and ride a fast pace for a long time as well in the bunch, but I also believe that I haven’t found out my whole potential yet. The team wants to help me realise that and I look forward to discovering together with Team DSM what type of rider I really am.”

Daniek Hengeveld zet stap omhoog met Team DSM
De Nederlandse wielrenster Daniek Hengeveld, die wordt gemanaged door AK Sportpromotions, treedt vanaf 2023 toe tot Team DSM. De 19-jarige renster heeft een tweejarig contract getekend bij het in Nederland gevestigde Womens World Tour team. Ze komt over van GP Krush Tunap Pro Cycling, waarvoor ze nu in haar tweede jaar in het elite vrouwen peloton uitkomt. In haar eerste twee seizoenen maakte Daniek indruk met verschillende lange aanvallen en zelfs een overwinning in de proloog van de Belgrado GP Womens Tour, naast sterke optredens op de wielerbaan. AK Sportpromotions feliciteert haar met haar nieuwe contract!
In het persbericht van Team DSM zegt Daniek: “Ik ben erg enthousiast om me bij Team DSM aan te sluiten. Ik heb verschillende gesprekken gehad met mensen in het team over hun plan voor mij, doelen voor de komende jaren en mijn ambities. Vanaf het begin heb ik hun vertrouwen in mij gevoeld en dat is een heel fijn gevoel. Het team heeft duidelijke doelen met hun rensters als het gaat om ontwikkeling als individu en als team. Dat spreekt me erg aan. Ik kan niet wachten om te beginnen. Ik denk dat ik tot nu toe heb laten zien dat ik een goede tijdrit kan rijden en ook in het peloton lange tijd een hoog tempo kan rijden, maar ik geloof ook dat ik nog niet mijn volledige potentieel heb ontdekt. Het team wil me helpen om dat te realiseren en ik kijk ernaar uit om samen met Team DSM te ontdekken wat voor type renster ik werkelijk ben.”
