The talented Estonian cyclist Laura Lizette Sander has signed a contract with the U23 team of AG Insurance – NXTG. That cycling team will have two teams in the peloton in 2023; a top team that competes at World Tour level and a continental team with under 23 riders. Sander is currently still a junior and riders for the Danish Team Rytger p/b Carl Ras. This week she will compete in both the individual time trial and the road race at the World Championships in Wollongong, Australia.
“I chose AG insurance – NXTG because it seems like a perfect opportunity for me to grow as a cyclist and make a smooth transition from the juniors to the U23/elite category”, Laura Lizette says. “Joining the team was an easy decision for me as I already know some of the girls and I am pretty sure that the competition inside the team will be also strong and uplifting for me as a cyclist. Besides that, everything in the team is well arranged and with the top team above the U23 team, I think we will learn a lot from the experience of those riders as well.”

Laura Lizette Sander sluit aan bij U23 team AG Insurance – NXTG
De talentvolle Estse wielrenster Laura Lizette Sander heeft een contract getekend bij het U23 team van AG Insurance – NXTG. Die wielerploeg komt in 2023 met twee ploegen in het peloton; een topteam dat meedoet op World Tour niveau en een continental team met rensters onder de 23 jaar. Sander is op dit moment nog junior en kom uit voor het Deense Team Rytger p/b Carl Ras. Deze week neemt ze bij de wereldkampioenschappen in het Australische Wollongong deel aan zowel de individuele tijdrit als de wegwedstrijd.
“Ik heb voor AG Insurance – NXTG gekozen omdat het mij een perfecte kans lijkt om als wielrenster te groeien en een soepele overgang te maken van de junioren naar de U23/elite categorie”, zegt Laura Lizette. “Het was voor mij een makkelijke beslissing om bij het team te komen, aangezien ik een aantal meiden al ken en ik ben er vrij zeker van dat de concurrentie binnen het team ook sterk zal zijn voor mij als wielrenster en me zal helpen groeien. Daarnaast is alles in het team goed geregeld en met het topteam boven het U23-team, denk ik dat we ook veel zullen leren van de ervaring van die rensters.”
