American junior road race and time trial champion Samantha Scott joins Lotto Dstny for the 2024 season. With them the 18-years-old talent will make her debut in the elite women peloton. The Belgium continental women’s team has a very good history and a strong name if it comes to developing talents. This year both AK Sportpromotions riders Kristyna Burlova and Wilma Aintila were racing for the team. The last one will also race with them next year. Scott completes the roster of sixteen riders for the upcoming season.
Besides winning two national titles, Scott really showed her talent in 2023. She for example got fourth in the young rider classification of the Joe Martin Stage Race, where she raced on the elite level. Also in the Redlands Classic and Tour of the Gila Scott did very well between riders of the category she will join next year. A crash in the penultimate lap of the world championships kept her from getting a good result there as well.
